This design went unfinished for a while before I decided that it was time to go on a head and complete it. I have a few designs like that and I guess the only reasoning for this was non-confidence within my skills to complete the work until I was satisfied with a growth in my style. So I in the coming months look forward to a few more of these types of works from the year 2016 to roll out as completed or remastered.
To give some context history behind the work itself. This piece was developed from an older unique character design. If you follow my Instagram showcases you will see a picture of the older work embeded in the photo album. I really like the composition and pose of this character and that is why it made my redo list. In the past I did stuff like white gutter space borders and things that restricted the design, and I guess I did this because I was taught that it was custom as an illustrator to have a space around the edges of the design for printing purposes. However now in this digital age, you can add that white gutter space in later by use of computer and still keep 100% of the design. I was also unhappy with the way I colored the skin. In the pass I used only sharpie marker to color my art, and I was not aware of the ways to game the media to do certain things. Lastly, my style changed quite a bit between then and now, and so I though it was time to reflect that. To keep my art going. I have plans to revisit my older designs and renew the ones I feel have a good composition going for them.

Cat-girl Candi Skulls #illustration by art.darkp.com. I just finished this #design and have built my latest #artalbum to #showcase the #artwork here as an #artistoninstagram. I #blogged about the time spent on this #artwork and it’s worth a read if you want to know more about my process. #Picture number #6 in this album is a bonus from the past. I hope you enjoy it.
